“An apple a day keeps the doctor away?”, but why? Do you really know what makes an apple so special? Why is it that we never hear an orange or a banana a day keeps the doctor away?
Apples have properties that no other fruits have and its benefits have been proven overtime. You will be able to get the benefits of these properties individually with other fruits, but an apple combines everything and makes it simpler. It has been shown over and over that if it’s not simple, easy and fast, people won’t take care of their health.
1. Apple contains Vitamin C. Vitamin C helps greatly your immune system. A lot of people who lack Vitamin C in their diet have poor healing, bruise easily and have bleeding gums.

7. Protects your brain from brain disease. This is something many people don’t know, and when you consider that your brain makes the person you are, it gives a whole new perspective. Apple has substances called phytonutrients, and these phytonutrients prevents neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinsonism.
8. Healthier Lungs. A research at the University of Nottingham Research shows that people who eat 5 apples or more per week has lower respiratory problems, including asthma.
9.They taste great! And not only that, they also come in many flavors and colors. Not in a mood for a green apple? Why not get a red one, or a macintosh! Their taste can vary greatly, but still give you all the apple benefits. Variety is an important element to maintaining your health.
On average, Americans consume around 20 pounds of apples a year, which comes to around 1 apple a week. Unfortunately, while an apple a week is better than nothing, it is nowhere close to being able to extract all the advantages apples have to offer. Eating apples is part of balanced and healthy diet than will increase your longevity, so why limit yourself to only 1 per week?

EATING FRUITS
We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths. It's not as easy as you think. It's important to know how and when to eat.
W hat is the correct way of eating fruits?
IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS! * FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.
If you eat fruit like that, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.
FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD.
Let's say you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so.
In the meantime the whole meal rots and ferments and turns to acid.. The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil....

7 Punca Diet Anda Gagal

Anda sudah mengurangkan makan nasi, tidak lagi makan malam. Tidak juga menjamah coklat dan makanan kering kegemaran anda, tapi berat badan tak juga turun. Jika ini berlaku pasti ada yang tidak kena dengan cara anda berdiet. Kegagalan ini tentunya disebabkan oleh pelbagai perkara.
Inilah beberapa punca mengapa usaha anda untuk menurunkan berat badan gagal dan jawapan untuk mengatasinya :-
1) Pengambilan lemak berlebihan
Tidak dapat dinafikan, makanan yang mengandungi lemak lebih lazat dan sedap. Tidak hairan anda sukar menghadkan pengambilan hingga 30 peratus sahaja makanan jenis ini. Kajian menunjukkan seamkain banyak anda mengambil lemak, semakin kurang anda menyerap zat makanan yang lain dan mendorong penambahan berat badan.
Saranan :
secara umumnya, semakin sedikit anda memproses makanan, semakin rendahlah kandungan lemak didalamnya. Seabik-baiknya anda memilih makanan yang dipanggang daripada yang digoreng. Hadkan makanan manis yang kaya lemak. Jika anda membeli makanan yang sudah dipaketkan, perhatikan kandungan lemak pada labelnya. Pilih makaan yang kandungan lemaknya tidak lebih dari 3gm per 100 kalori.
2) Jarang bersarapan
Sekiranya anda tidak bersarapan kerana mahu mengelakkan gemuk, bermakna strategi anda itu salah. Tahukah tanpa sarapan, tubuh akan terasa amat lapar hingga mengakibatkan nafsu makan semakin besar apabila tiba masa makan tengahari. Kajian di barat menunjukkan, orang yang bersarapan dengan bijirin setiap pagi akan lebih cergas dan mempunyai tingkahlaku lebih positif.
Saranan :-
Biasakan sarapan.
Bekerja dengan perut kosong menyukarkan anda memberi tumpuan pada pekerjaan. Hindari makanan yang manis-manis kerana makanan ini membuat anda berasa terlalu kenyang dan mengantuk. Pilih sarapan yang mempunyai karbohidrat seimbang. Makanan yang kaya dengan serat seperti sayuran, buah-buahan dan bijirin boleh menstabilkan gula dalam darah dan membuat anda terasa kenyang hingga waktu makan tengahari.
3) Tidak pernah mencatat
Sebahagian besar daripada kita merasakan tidak penting untuk mencatat setiap makanan yang kita makan. Samada makanan yang berkhasiat atau sebaliknya.
Saranan :-
Buatlah sebuah diari diet, iaitu dengan mencatatkan pengambilan makanan harian anda. Dengan catatan ini, anda akan lebih berhati-hati setiap kali ingin memilih makanan. Diari tersebut juga akan membantu anda menunjukkan dengan tepat situasi yang menyebabkan anda ingin makan. Ia juga boleh membantu anda untuk membezakan anda makan kerana keperluan atau kerana nafsu.
4) Ketagihan gula
Boleh dikatakan semua orang suka gula. Tidak lengkap makanan tanpa gula terutama teh dan kopi. Dan ternyata rasa manis merupakan pengukur penting yang mempengaruhi tahap kegemaran pengguna terhadap sesuatu produk. Dan kebanyakan makanan sihat seperti yoghurt dan oatmeal juga mengandungi banyak gula.
Saranan :-
Jangan amalkan makanan manis-manis sebagai pencuci mulut setiap kali selesai makan. Makan makanan jenis ini hanya sekali seminggu. Baca label nutrient untuk menghadkan penggunaan gula seabgai bahan utamanya. Selain itu cuba elakkan makanan yang dianggap sihat tetapi sebenarnya mengandungi banyak gula. Kurangkan minum minuman bersoda atau gantikan dengan minuman bersoda bebas gula.
5) Makan kekacang
Kacang soya, kacang merah, kacang buncis, kacang tanah dan seumpamanya adalah jenis makanan yang rendah lemak, mengenyangkan, kaya serat, protein dan karbohidrat. Makanan jenis ini juga mengandungi nutrient yang baik untuk wanita.
Saranan :-
Tambahkan jumlah pengambilan kekacang dan biji-bijian ini. Amalkan selalu dan beri kesempatan pada tubuh anda menambah serat. Jika tidak mahu memasak sendiri , anda boleh membelinya di kedai tetapi perhatikan kadar sodium, garam dan cara pengolahannya.
6) Pengambilan kalsium
Anda pasti sudah mengetahui betapa pentingnya kalsium untuk kesihatan tulang dalam mencegah osteoporosis. Kajian yang dibuat di Creighton University Osteoporosis Research Center, mendapati makanan kaya kalsium mapu mengawal kejadian overweight hingga 70 peratus. Namun sayangnya, ramai di antara kita yang tidak suka makanan mahupun minuman yang berkalsium. Malahan ada yang menggantikan susu dengan makan keju tinggi lemak.
Saranan :-
Minumlah dua gelas susu rendah lemak setiap hari. Dengan cara ini anda menyelamatkan tulang daripada rapuh, sementara zatnya memadai untuk mengalas perut dengan bahan rendah kalori. Anda boleh minum soya jika tidak begitu gemarkan susu biasa.
7) Kurang serat
Dibandingkan makan buah-buahan, sayur-sayuran atau produk gandum yang kaya serat, karbohidrat, vitamin dan mineral, anda mungkin lebih sukakan kek, atau kuih, yang biasanya dibuat daripada lemak, gula, garam dan bahan additive. Sedangkan bahan bersumber daripada tepung gandum ini merupakan salah satu sumber lemak tepu terbanyak dalam diet kita.
Saranan :-
Anda boleh menggantikan roti putih, mi atau kek dengan roti whole grain, bijirin atau pasta. Supaya rasanya lebih lazat, anda boleh mencampurkan bijirin dengan buah-buahan segar. SELAMAT BERDIET..

Sedapnya Pisang
Pisang kaya dengan potassium, magnesium dan sumber vitamin B-6. Ia mampu menambah tenaga dalam badan anda. Ia baik untuk mengawal tekanan, degupan jantung serta tekanan darah anda. Buah pisang juga berupaya membantu mengurangkan risiko untuk kena strok. Boleh meningkatkan sistem imunisasi badan anda. Ia juga membantu pembentukkan sel darah merah, menstabilkan sistem darah dan meningkatkan metabolisma badan. Ia juga sebagai pelawas terbaik buat individu yang sukar untuk ‘melepaskan hajat’. =p
p/s: banyak lagi sebenarnya khasiat yang terdapat dalam pisang. apa yang saya kongsikan disini hanya sebahagian dari khasiatnya yang saya perolehi dari sebuah bahan bacaan.
